After the successful experience of Mina Rashid Marina (Dubai, UAE) where we offer berths for some of the world’s largest yachts, P&O Marinas extended its management and operations to four marinas in Dubai, located along the beautiful coast of Jumeirah.
Our ongoing focus is to expand beyond Dubai through the world creating lifestyle destinations for yachting enthusiasts, local residents and tourists, offering a wide range of amenities and services ranging from private and hotel accommodation, shopping centres, sailing and sports clubs to cruise terminals, for the benefit of communities and economies globally.

About the role

Based in Dubai at Mina Rashid office, the main purpose of this role is to supervise cruise operations of vessels and ensure optimal utilization & maximum productivity with due consideration to commercial, safety and operational factors and adherence to port policies and procedures  .

 

Key Responsibilities

1.    Review daily operations schedule prior to the cruise vessel arrival to ensure the required manpower and equipment are available.

2.    Ensure the safety measures are followed in provisions loading operations and ensure the operations team is equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) before operations.

3.    Maintain constant communication with the Senior supervisor - cruise and ensure that the operation is executed according to the plan.

4.    Ensure all the baggage and luggage are routed through customs X-ray screening prior to release them to out of the terminal / town

5.    Monitor the passenger movement and ensure that no passengers were in trouble to receive their own baggage’s in customs X-ray area

6.    prepare report for the suggestions and complaints made by passengers and respective cruise agents.

7.    provide the cruise terminal progress report upon management requests.

8.    Ensure standard productivity levels are maintained for all vessels

9.    Ensure that optimal number of manpower is utilized at all times – if required coordinate with resource planning for more resources, if there are extra resources for the remaining operations, inform the Senior Supervisor

10. Before signing off from the shift, ensure that all necessary & relevant information is passed on to the next supervisor for continuity of effective operations

11. Immediately attend to any accidents / safety incidents and take necessary corrective actions. Discuss these in the team meetings with the Seniors and propose preventive actions to avoid such incidents

12. Co-ordinate with Resource Planning & Equipment Control for resource allocation

13. Maintain constant coordination with the foreman to ensure that operations are under complete control

14. Ensure on time and updated responses to requests from other sections e.g. Mina Rashid operations etc

15. To support/deputize the Senior Supervisor as and when required in his absence to ensure continuity of service levels and quality at all times

Qualification and Experience

In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent with 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory for cruise operations
  • High standard of communication and interpersonal skills, enabling communication at all levels within the business.
